The Allegheny Conference on Community Development works to stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life in the Pittsburgh region. The Allegheny Conference relies upon the Regional Investors Council – leaders of more than 300 companies and organizations – to provide time, talent and resources to advance our Agenda.
January 16, 2015 – We're beginning the new year at the Allegheny Conference preparing to say goodbye to a member of our executive team. De Peart, president of both the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA), has accepted a position as the President/CEO of the Downtown Austin Alliance.
Over the past 70 years, the Allegheny Conference has carved out a global reputation for its approach to leadership through partnership based upon the individual commitment of countless public and private sector leaders. Robert Morris University, with support from the R.K. Mellon Foundation, produced a feature length documentary that tells the story of the Allegheny Conference's work to transform the Pittsburgh region, which began in 1944.
